Welcome to the July 22, 2007 edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival! This is hosted by me, Pisssy, Simonne’s cat
I’m happy to host great stories and advice today, from a lot of friends (What? Did you notice that one story is about dogs? Despite what humans believe, cats and dogs can maker great friends, you know). We also got some submissions which Simonne calls “spam”, so I did not publish them and I ask you humans to read twice what a carnival is about before you make me waste my sleeping time with your non-sense. However, there was an article which I decided to keep, because it has lots of funny cat pictures, although it is about some politician or writer out there (you’ll know which one is that when you read it).
So, here’s what we have for today:
Amanda Harris presents Pajama Mommy Community posted at Pajama Mommy. Good advice on how to protect us (your pets) during summertime. Do you know how easy we can get diseases from ticks, fleas and mosquitos? Please read and see what you can do about it.
Jon Swift presents Jonah Goldberg’s Shining posted at Jon Swift, saying, “I don’t know how Goldberg can possibly meet his deadline in time for the book to come out on the latest publication date — December 26 of this year — so I have an idea that will save Goldberg a lot of time writing and also spare the reader from having to plow through too much prose once it’s finished. Most of Goldberg’s ideas could be expressed much more economically, not to mention entertainingly, by using LOLcats, an Internet meme where pictures of cats and other cute animals are captioned with grammatically challenged prose.”
LOLcats are fun for sure, I love I Can Has Cheezburger, and this is why I published this entry, which has lots of funny pictures. I had a good laugh, so who cares that the article is not about cats in the first place?
Freddy Moreno presents What is the best dog training trick? posted at Dog Training Secrets, saying, “dog training secrets”. I’m saying, OK, Freddy, but what’s the connection with 1001 Cats? We can’t be trained like dogs, you know?
Miss D presents DIY toy to amuse a kitten posted at Prefurr.com, saying, “Take one box, some scissors and a mouse. Result: one happy kitty.” This is great, I liked the movie very much. I hope Simonne is going to make such a toy for me, too! (Meow! Do you hear me, Simonne?)
Hello Kitty Hell presents Hello Kitty Cat posted at Hello Kitty Hell, saying, “This is not what you want to be doing to your cat…” I fully agree! If I ever get such accessories to wear, I’ll commit suicide on Simonne! I’m not going to let myself become a Hello Kitty!
Xco presents Puma cat posted at Blame It On The Voices. This is quite a moving teeshirt! Luckily, Simonne doesn’t collect Tshirts. I wonder what would have happened if I were Shoemoney’s cat? Meow! I don’t wanna know!
Sam presents Purr - fectly Funny Cat Jokes. Bingo is a Funny Cat with Her Own Web page. The paws that refreshes. Surfer Sam posted at Surfer Sam and Friends. Lucky Bingo, he has a website. How I wish I had one too! Maybe I’ll get one for my first anniversary which is coming in a week (Hey, Simonne, are you ready with my blog design yet? I’m in a mood for writing and I has no blog).
Lucynda Riley presents Herbal pain Killer for Cats posted at The Crazy Cat Woman. This is very helpful. Did you know that aspirin is a poison for cats? It destroys our liver in no time, so take care what pain killers you give us.
Colin Robertson presents How to Care for Your New Kitten : The Paw Blog posted at The Paw Blog. This is for people who decided to have their first kitten and they don’t know how to start.
Larry Cragun presents A Most Important Event in Issaquah - Bengal Tiger Cubs at the Cougar Mountain Zoo! posted at Issaquah Undressed. Wow! Check this out, because Larry has some coupons for the Zoo entry, so you can see my biiiigger cousins in there.
Cade Krueger presents How Pets Can Help With Your Home Business Opportunity posted at Write To Right. Yeah, I know Cade is right. This is how I got to be Simonne’s cat: when she decided to work from home, she hired me to help her. I’m her se-cat-tary :
Dragonheart presents Thursday Thirteen: First Birthday Gifts! posted at Dragonheart’s Domain. Interesting gifts ideas. I want to have such a fountain! I saw one at the vet last week, so pleeease, Simonne, can we get one?
OK, Pisssy, you’ll have your fountain and your blog, but now it’s time to thank all participants for their stories and for submitting them to us. If you want to join the fun, please submit your blog article (about cats) to the next edition of 1001 Cats, using our carnival submission form.

Thanks Pisssy - glad you liked the DIY toy idea! Thanks so much for hosting such an excellent carnival.
Meow, Miss D, I thank you for sending your tip to my carnival. I got my fountain yesterday and it scares me to death. However, I like the cardboard box it came in. I fit perfectly inside
