1001 Cats: Friday’s Deepest Secret And Other Kitty Stories

Leo the tiny shiny kittyHere we are again, at a new edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival, with lots of great stories, both from new and already known authors. Today’s edition is brought to you by the tiny shiny kitty Leo, thanks to Giuseppe Dani, the author of the photo and probably Leo’s “dad”.

Let’s see what little Leo has for us:

Lucynda Riley presents A Cat Story. The orange Bobcat. posted at The Crazy Cat Woman. If your job supposes you have to go to your clients’ homes, beware of bobcats (regardless their color).

Sharyn presents The Cancer Cat: Hearth & Homebody posted at Magick Cat Cauldron. Do you know your cat’s astrological sign? Check out this story about Tabitha, the crab cat, and find out how to check your cat’s daily horoscope.

Our senior author already, HowToHoldACat presents Cat Claws and Furniture Just Don’t Mix posted at How To Hold A Cat Without Losing An Eye. What does your cat think about inflatable chairs? Friday the cat has a very personal point of view regarding such pieces of furniture.

Hello Kitty Hell presents Hello Kitty Cat (more) posted at Hello Kitty Hell, saying, “More people than you would imagine are willing to humiliate their cats…”. I couldn’t agree more. I think my cat would go crazy in less than 10 seconds if I dressed her up like that.

Living Without Meat presents Living Without Meat – “Newsweek: My Turn: “Saving My Cat: Why No Price Was Too High” posted at Living Without Meat. That is very interesting: what is the maximum price you would pay to save your cat?

GrrlScientist presents Can Animals Predict Impending Death? posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “Oscar the cat provides comfort to the dying.” It is unbelievable how some animals can predict events such as earthquakes or deaths. If we could only understand them some moments earlier! However, Oscar does a great job, although he did not attend any medical school.

Lucynda Riley from The Crazy Cat Woman has two more stories to share: Rescue of a beautiful black persian and Even Posh Paws need rescuing. It is impressive to tears how some people can harm everything and everybody around them. No anger in the world justifies bitting a cat to death.

Speaking of cruelty to pets, did you know that 9000 bears are currently “donating” their bile to humans? They are kept in small cages, with open wounds in the abdomen, with the sole purpose of draining their bile twice a day. The World Society for the Protection of Animals is in need for members and is inviting everybody to join them in their fight against animal cruelty. WSPA aims to stop the farming of bears across Asia.

Sorry for ending in such a sad note, but those bears really impressed me.
