How to get rid of cigarette smoke’s bad smell

When I used to smoke, I never believed the non-smokers telling me that my apartment stinks. It could not be true, since I did not feel any bad odor. Now, at one year after quitting, I can tell you that it is true, smokers rooms have a bad smell. And I’m not even mentioning here the ashtrays… awful.

Yet, there is a trick which seems to be functioning, to get rid of that smell: just put a slice of lemon in the ashtray and it will absorb a great part of the smell. The trick also works for your fingers: to remove the odor and the yellowish color they get in time, rub them regularily with a slice of lemon.

Or better quit smoking!

Man, I need to get the smell out of my walls that some tenant put in. It’s too late for the lemon thing for me.
