Beware! It Is Raining With Cats And Dogs!

Sweet kittensDid you know the saying “it’s raining with cats and dogs” used to describe heavy rains? Well, it’s time for a heavy rain again at All Tips And Tricks, on the occasion of this new edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival. Since hosting this carnival, I had the chance to learn a lot about cats from all the great cat bloggers who submitted their articles. It is definitely worth every minute of my time spent to put this together.

Before presenting this edition, I would like to ask the authors a question: how would you like to make this carnival an itinerant one? This means that each edition will have a different host, so we can all benefit from some more links and broaden our audience. Please use the comments form to give me your thoughts on this (this blog will be on “automatic pilot” for the next ten days, but I’ll read everything when I’ll be back).

Back on track, let’s see who’s purring louder today:

Leticia Velasquez presents cause of our joy: We have a few pets posted at cause of our joy. In reality, these pets are more than a few. Meet Leticia’s big family: lots of pictures illustrate this family album.

TherapyDoc presents Oscar the Cat posted at Everyone Needs Therapy, saying, “This one proves they’re empathetic. That or they’re waiting to eat.” Either way, pets are very comforting, so they can make a very good therapy. Beware though, when you choose a pet: I heard lots of stories about crocodiles and snakes in cities’ canals, thrown there by their owners who were about to become owned.

Lucynda Riley from The Crazy Cat Woman is back again, with Emergency C section suffered by her very pregnant Russian Blue. Lucynda handled brilliantly the situation. I’m no way that good, so my little Russian Blue is going to get spayed very soon.

Sharyn presents The Cat’s Whiskers posted at Magick Cat Cauldron.

“My grandmother used to say that a cat’s whiskers are so sensitive they can find their way through the narrowest crack in a broken heart.”

Sharyn’s grandmother was so right!

Jack, the Lion-Hearted Housecat is brought to us by GrrlScientist from Living the Scientific Life, saying, “An orange cat trees a black bear.” Maybe the bear did not realize Jack was declawed :)
Renata Vincoletto presents Falando pelos Cotovelos - Kat-alogue posted at A geek Family. Something must be wrong with my browser, but you should find there a lot of cat pictures.

Jeremy Hitchcock presents WTTF: Welcome to the Future » Archive » Cat Addictions posted at WTTF: Welcome to the Future, saying, “Here’s a cartoon about my cat who recently kicked one of her addictions.” All cats who are into personal development should see that. It is highly motivational. At least my kitty said so when she saw it ;)
Ferdinand T. Cat presents A Cold Truth posted at Conservative Cat. Cats have some extra senses, that’s for sure. Read the story, and you’ll remember your cat doing the same.

That’s all folks! (I remember there were some cartoons which ended like this). Many thanks to our authors for their stories, to our cats for offering us the inspiration, and last but not least, to our readers who took the time to give value to our work. If you want to share a cat story, please submit your blog article to the next edition of 1001 cats using our carnival submission form.

Special note to all “make money online” gurus, who keep on submitting their affiliate articles to this carnival: guys, if you wrote about making cats online, your articles would have been a purrrfect match. Until then, sorrrry, U can’t haz linkz on me blog!

As a matter of interest what does “raining cats and dogs” mean now?

I haven’t heard it used to mean anything but hard rain.

Hey Andrew, this is the only meaning I know. It sounds very funny for me. In my native language, we say it’s raining with frogs when referring to heavy rains.

I know that most of you are responsible dog owners or enthusiasts but have you taken a look at your dog’s kennel recently. Most are ignored and in pretty poor shape. What’s your dogs home like?

    Dog tooth care
