1001 Cats Blog Carnival 1st Edition

1001 Cats Blog Carnival 1st EditionWelcome to the May 6, 2007 edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival. The purpose of this carnival is to provide a place for cat owners to exchange tips, tricks and any other useful information about cats of all breeds or ages. Funny cat stories, pictures or short movies also have their place here. We all love to share our best moments, don’t we?

Now let’s see what this edition of 1001 Cats brings us:

HowToHoldACat presents Felines, Bovines, Where do you draw the line? posted at How To Hold A Cat Without Losing An Eye; a unique theory about why cats eat grass. It is possible that cats eat grass as a means of flossing. What do yours cat have to say about that?

HowToHoldACat shares another cool story: It’s Four A.M. Why aren’t you up yet? posted at How To Hold A Cat Without Losing An Eye. If Friday the cat was able to learn how to open doors by watching his masters, how do you think that he wouldn’t wake up the entire house when he feels like playing?

Bobbi A. Chukran presents Adopt a shelter or rescue cat! posted at We Heart Cats, saying, “Informative post about shelter and rescue cats, and why you should consider adopting one.” Just go visit a shelter, and you won’t go back home alone!

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Ode To Genetically Altered Cats posted at Mad Kane’s Humor Blog. Allergic cat lovers, you definitely have to read this one, because “you can kiss and it won’t make you sneeze”.

HowToHoldACat has another one for us, so here it is: Barn Kitty Miss Kitty posted at How To Hold A Cat Without Losing An Eye. Barn Kitty was supposed to control the mouse population. How do you think she handled that task?

Chris Dolley presents Counter Mouse Insurgency posted at Author Chris Dolley’s Page. Meet Kai and Xena in action, on a mouse alert!

Catnabbit presents Cat Changes Legal Name to Sound of Can Opener posted at Catnabbit!. Just try to call her by the new name, without using her godfather!

Last, but not least, Cendre de Roses, a Russian Blue cattery in Bucharest, presents The Russian Blue Breed Portait: History, Behavior, Personality & Temperament. One advantage of the Russian Blues (not mentioned in the article): if you like to wear gray, this is the cat for you.

Now, a special sample of cat creativity: find an alternative use for a toilet paper roll!

That is all for today. Many thanks to all participants.
