This is my entry for the Tutorial Group Writing Project, at The Writers Manifesto.stumble upon tricks

Many bloggers are also StumbleUpon members. You read their blogs, you stumble or review their posts, but how often do you check on their SU page? Maybe you do. At least, I’m checking everyday the stumbles of a few people, because they seem to have a real talent to discover interesting sites.

Wouldn’t you like to be announced every time they wrote a StumbleUpon review? Or every time they gave a Thumb Up to a page?

This is how to subscribe to your favorite stumblers’ pages in your feed reader:

  1. Go to the desired stumbler’s homepage and click on the avatar. You’ll be taken to the “about” page. At the bottom left, you’ll see the stumbler ID. Copy it.
  2. Type in your browser the following line (make sure you replace my stumbler ID I used in this example with the one you copied:

http://www.stumbleupon.com/syndicate.php?stumbler=1677878&comments=1

This will subscribe you to the reviews on your stumbler’s homepage.

If you want to subscribe to all stumbled pages of that person, drop “&comments=1”:

I learned this tip from my SU friend, http://etresoi.stumbleupon.com/, whose pages I wanted to subscribe and I didn’t know how to do it.

Do you know other SU tips you could share?
