How can you tell you have sleep disorders?

Everyone has sleepless nights every now and then. However, 40 million people in the U.S. have chronic sleep problems that prevent them from getting a good night’s rest. More than 70 different kinds of sleep disorders exist. Some of the most common are sleep deprivation, insomnia, sleep apnea, and restless legs syndrome (RLS). If you have sleep problems and they persist and interfere with your quality of life, you may want to see your healthcare provider for a medical evaluation to determine the cause of the problem. There are other sleep disorders and medical conditions that can contribute to sleep loss.
