New blog contest on air. Are you joining in?

More and more online contests spice up our web 2.0 lives these days. If you are like me, you like to participate, not necessarily for the prizes offered, but for fun you can have and for the connections you can make with other blogger fellows out there. From Problogger’s group writing projects, to John Chow’s never ending contests, such as Top commenters, or Review my blog, or Join my MyBlogLog community, each of those contests have their audience and their winners.

One of my favourite blogs, which I discovered via the 2000 bloggers project, just launched a contest with implications in the real life:

  • The challenge: mind map your resume for a better job
  • The prize: a free license for Mind Manager 6 from MindJet, worth 349$.

I think this is quite a good value for the involvement required. Besides, there is a prize in it for everybody: you’ll end up with a nice, well-organized resume which can help you fish for a better job.

How to enter theMind map your resume contest:

1. submit a mind map for a resume
2. have a blog
3. display the contest’s badge on your blog
4. do all the above, before April 15th

If you look at my sidebar, you can see the badge there: I submitted my mind map for this contest, and not only. I sent it also to a company I’d like to work for. If they call me for an interview, I’ll give a large, virtual beer to eDragonu.

What are you waiting for? Didn’t you know it’s good to have your resume ready at any time? Because resumes are pretty much like condoms: you never know when you need one… or do you?
