Surf The Net And Get Paid 2.0

Maybe some of you remember AllAdvantage. This was a site that paid you to surf the Internet, and not only that, it paid you when you referred other people to surf, and paid you again if those people referred other people, down four levels. The new system is called AGLOCO, which stands for A Global Community. They offer you a viewbar to download and install it on your computer. It will show at the bottom of the browser, but instead of paying a flat fee per hour like the AllAdvantage did, it will give you a share of income the viewbar earns. This is something new and different from previous such pay-to-surf systems, and it seems to be in the benefit of both parties, the surfer and AGLOCO.

Signing up is very easy, you will receive an e-mail immediately after (if you don’t get it, check the bulk / junk folder and you’ll find it), containing a link and a password (which you will be able to change later on)

The viewbar is not available for download yet, as it is still in beta testing. Meanwhile, you can work on building your refferals network, in order to be prepared when it starts. This is how the viewbar is going to look like (it’s small and secure, and it can be turned off any time):

How do referrals work?
AGLOCO pays you an hourly rate when the friends and family who you recruit use the web while using the viewbar (they’re called “direct referrals”), and for people your referrals recruit (“extended referrals”). Extended referrals continue for four levels past your original referral, and there is no limit to the number of referrals you can accumulate.

Do I need to buy anything?
AGLOCO membership is absolutely free, and you will never have to buy or sell anything. Simply sign up, download your free copy of the viewbar, refer your friends and family, surf the net as usual and get paid for this.

How do I know that people I refer put in my member ID?

Simple: in all the links you build from your site to AGLOCO sign up page, build the URL like this: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBB3857, but replace my ID, which is BBBB3857 with the one you’ll get after you sign up. This is a trick I read on a great blog, John Chow dot Com, which is definitely worth reading, as it is a source of valuable learnings and motivational stories. After several hours of reading his blog, I feel I can trust John Chow, thus I joined AGLOCO with the certitude that I’m doing a positive thing for my future experience of making a living from Internet.

  1. [...] Some two weeks ago, the dead came alive. Former 1999’s AllAdvantage is alive and kicking, under the name of Agloco, inviting us to “Own the Internet”. The system is based on members surfing the net, while displaying a viewbar at the bottom of the browser. As I wrote last week, their Viewbar has still not launched. Yet, judging from their past week’s traffic spike in Alexa, they must have gathered a lot of members until now. [...]

  2. [...] I drop a line here for those who don’t know yet what’s the matter with this AGLOCO, Viewbar, members, and other stuff: there is more info available here and here. Or if you know that and you just want to sign up, you can do it here. [...]

  3. By How high do you want to rank? » All Tips and Tricks on December 16, 2006 at 5:39 pm

[...] Agloco has just introduced a new feature in the account details: your rank within all Agloco members. I was surprised to find out that I ranked in top 3.13% of all members. For those of you who don’t know, Agloco is a recently launched company which pays you to surf the net (details here). The ranking is calculated taking into consideration the number of members that signed in under your referral code. If I am doing that good with only 8 members brought to the network, then it means that there is still an excellent growth potential. Still, I am somehow dissapointed, because I imagined that so many people are already there, with lots of referrals under their code, that it would be very difficult for me to bring any new members. I discover now that people don’t pay attention to occasions that pass by them in life. There was a cool saying that changed my life (I’m not sure, but I think it belongs to Tony Robbins): Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. [...]

  4. [...] The AGLOCO madness that started in early November seems to be cooling down since the announcement of the Viewbar launch for early spring 2007. A lot of people are reticent to join AGLOCO, from various reasons. The main reason of all was that the program is still in Beta, so why bother to rush in, when it is not clear how much money could one possible earn for his membership and for the referrals he brings into the network. [...]

  5. [...] With the recent launch of AGLOCO, people started to remember the days of the Internet bubble, when making money on the Internet was the big challenge, the dream of a whole generation. Brought back to life from those times, this is a video created in early 2000 for the “dotcom” viral marketing phenomenon, AllAdvantage.com. The founders of the company explain the concept of “infomediary” and how it works for the benefit of its members. [...]

  6. By Agloco sign up issue fixed » All Tips and Tricks on January 19, 2007 at 11:55 am

[...] As a follow up to one of my previous articles, Surf the Net and Get Paid 2.0, I got a lot of messages from people trying to sign up with Agloco from my referral link, saying that their account is unavailable. It seems that there was really an issue, as stated on the official Agloco blog. As they say, the problem has been fixed, so those of you who might have got that error, can go to the Agloco site and sign up now. [...]
