Text Link Ads is Working

Text Link AdsI have subscribed with Text Link Ads a few months ago. For a while, I did not see any income, but last month All Tips And Tricks got its first sponsor. It is a training company, Microsoft Training London, which delivers courses of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. For those of you who are not based in UK, e-learning is also available, via instructional movies that play on your computer (after you order the CD, of course). So, if Excel ever bothers you again, now you know what you can do: take a course and you are saved.

The New Text Link Ads Opportunity

Back to Text Link Ads, another oportunity came across, with the introduction of post level text link ads: if you enable this option in your Text Link Ads account, advertisers will be able to buy an ad which will be displayed at the end of the post (provided that they have installed Wordpress 2.*). For an example, you can check my post How to give your cat a pill in 7 steps, to see how such an ad looks like.

The good thing is that these post level text links ads are inexpensive (one PR 4 link costs $8 per month, while a PR 2 one costs only $5 per month). If you want to see how advertisers see the posts, you can check my page. You are also welcome to buy a link, if you find one of the posts interesting. If you aren’t a member yet, you can open one Text Link Ads free account and get $100 in FREE Links.

Text Link Ads Affiliate Program

Last but not least, the Text Link Ads referral program rewards you $25 for every publisher you refer. All he has to do for you to get paid is subscribe for free and keep the Text Link Ads code on his site for 7 days.

Yes, it is good to have more sources.

Good points Simonne. Unfortunately, for my own site, I have had nothing but silence on my site when it comes to TLA. I have sent many e-mails to TLA asking for more information about various things and to ask for help, and I rarely get any response back.

Lately, my TLA control panel shows my site as being active, though I cannot find my site anywhere in the listings. I have never been able to show even the normal TLA ad that is shown when one has not yet sold any ad space, so there has never been a way for me to find out whether or not the TLA code on my site was working.

Surprisingly, I e-mailed TLA yesterday to ask for instructions on how to close my TLA account and listing, and got a response right away. Either they do not like me, :( , or they have improved their customer support response. Or maybe it is just a one time situation where I am getting a prompt response.

I will try them out and see if I can fix the issues, whatever they may be, for a little bit more after reading your post.

Hey, Bes, I’m going to search for your site on TLA, maybe I can find it. The TLA ad shows only for a little while after you install the code (one day, if I remember well from my site), then it goes away. However, it remains active, and at the first sale, the sponsor appears automatically in place. I never asked them anything, so I did not know about the poor customer service. For me, the best part were the referrals (which are worth $25 each and I got two so far in the past month).

For a reason I don’t want Text Link Ads on my blog. I have no idea why… maybe you could help me understand what’s wrong with me. Lol.

Anyway, I’m glad you stopped at my blog and I leave you here a comment to let you know that Alina - http://wordsofabrokenmirror.blogspot.com/ uses PayPerPost - that means she’s got a PayPal account and can receive money. You could ask her how she did it. She lives in Bucharest too. :)

Thank you, Mihaela, for telling me that. I liked your blog very much, I’m glad I discovered it (I think it was via StumbleUpon, if I remember correctly).
I don’t think it’s something wrong with you :) .There are so many options, that if you don’t like one, you don’t have to use it. After all, we don’t have to collect all money in the world with our blogs, do we?

Text Link Ads is the most clean and lovely way to monetize your blog, IMHO.
BTW, Simonne, you have a very good blog with a very clean design. I’m subscribed.

I signed up for Text Link Ads a long time ago but my blog hasn’t been approved, every time I try to get it approved it tells me that it has been submitted already.

Yes, they keep record of submitted sites, they check them again from time to time, and when their conditions are gathered, they let you know. This happened also to me: at first, they did not accept my site, then I forgot about it completely, and one day I got a message saying that my inventory was accepted. Why don’t you write them an e-mail? They answer promptly.
