Treated Wood, A Solution For Preserving Outdoor Furniture

I’ve always liked wooden products. They look very stylish, they make me feel comfortable and cozy. This is why I’m thinking to get a set of wooden furniture and a nice gazebo for my garden, to rest during hot summer days. I know that the winter is just about to start, but I also know that if you buy summer products during winter, you can get nice discounts.

I’ve learned that pressure treated wood is the best for such purposes, as it is weather proof and it has a long time durability. Although they are too far away for me to buy their products, the Pacific Wood Preserving Companies provided me, via their website, a lot of useful information, to guide myself in choosing the best quality I can afford for my garden furniture. For example, did you know that Preserve treated wood can be painted if it is dry and if a good quality, oil-based or latex paint is used? Or that termites are a big danger for untreated wood products? I had no idea termites would want to eat my chairs.

Another interesting service offered by Pacific Wood, is the possibility that you bring your own wood and they treat it. Lucky US people, I’ll have to see if I can find similar services in my area, as my fence is looking awful already (I had no idea when I bought it, that I have to treat the wood in any way).
