You’d say that ugly houses are hard to sell. However, nothing in impossible in the dot com world, so the tag “we buy ugly houses” is present on more than one site. The story does not tell us if those real estate entrepreneurs who buy ugly houses are just scammers, or they are looking for bargains, to get cheap those houses nobody else wants because they are too ugly. Trading homes, be them apartments, condos or houses, is not an easy job. The real estate agent has to be wise, sharp and have a crisp focus on his objectives.
We buy ugly houses, but who sells them?
If you had such an ugly house, would you sell it? Why not renovate, make it less ugly, or even beautiful then find somebody to buy it for a decent price? If you just sit there an wait for those who claim we buy ugly houses, you can’t expect a big deal to happen. Renovation is not that expensive, and there are many things that you an do by yourself, such as painting the walls, adding some nice window treatments, waxing the floors, or insulating the basement. Clean houses, even with an ugly architecture, don’t seem that horrible anymore.
This is not a hoax, “we buy ugly houses” is a slogan which attracts customers. Nevertheless, beware of hidden dangers if you let your house be bought by those ugly homes seekers.
