Last year I discovered credit cards for the first time in my life. You’d think I’m lucky that I had to turn 40 to find out how good it feels to spend money which are not yours. Maybe I am lucky, but now I recover day after day. There are many good parts of this credit card, which I was so tempted to refuse when it was offered to me by my bank:
- There’s no interest to pay on the amounts I spend in shops, if I return them before the due date, which can be between 20 and 50 days, depending on the date I make the purchase.
- I get discount in a lot of shops (too bad that those shops are mainly those which are crazy expensive anyway, so if the discounts are not 90% then I’m not so interested)
- I get discount at plane tickets and vacations (this sounds good, because I like to travel, and I usually spend a lot on vacations)
Now that I became aware of this possibility to finance my little pleasures, I found out that there are also other types of credit cards, like the shopping cards or the charity and sports club credit cards.
You don’t even have to go to the bank to get a credit card: you can apply for it online, on special websites, like MBNA Europe.
